Preparing

for a retreat is a lot of work. I hope there will be some rest once we get there.

My family and I are going off for the long weekend to a retreat house with our group of American friends. We formed this group because we all came to some understanding of how the circumstance of our nationality interacts with the choice of our faith. Living in Canada and attending our particular church (highly international - many refugees) made this aspect of our lives more obvious.

But for me, right now, I have too many things to pack and prepare to be very reflective.
